An Alphabet for a Peaceful Life

< For health or not for health / this video entails the imagery of the same sport (swimming) that is done for two different purposes at different situations.  We all in a society do things that are meant to be a job
< Beginning is the end / what we all do in our daily lives is like a chain to a link. When we start something, either end it.  We begin to do something and we finish the previous moment we were into.  The atmospheres change and the question of flow of life remains the same.  There is no end literally just the liquidity of the actions takes the doer to a new atmosphere and framework.

Generally about my videos

Currently I have been doing a series of documentaries including interviews and short films.  In a broader sense I can name them as fictionomentary that provide a series of stories around a a bunch of filmed scenes.  As such is The Voice of Others, a project that gives voice to the people I know and visit everyday; friends, colleagues, neighbors, random people, artists, classmates and etc.  The basic idea was to give them a chance to speak out.

How do I get along with the video?
In the beginning of my experience back to school times I started to do my homeworks with the medium of video - it was quick to make, I had always my camera with me, I felt comfortable in it, and it was a method for my presentations.

During the past few years I have been filming and documenting the mundane everyday life issues with my cell-phone video camera or my simple small digital camera.  Although the quality of the videos with these tiny cameras are not as nice as the ones with more professional cameras but I like the concept that the medium itself entails.

Most of the people around us might have a cellphone with built in cameras that all can document what they see from their point of view.  Each person is a film maker in a way - some delicate and some careless of the image.  Some people narrate it and some might like to make others judge.  Perhaps it has happened to you to see uploaded funny videos on facebook that taken with mobile phones or simple cameras.  For instance once I watched a video taken from a day out that some friends had taken in the woods that someone had found a frog showing it to the camera - but in a more extensive way people taking parts in the anti-governmental demonstrations throughout the world the demonstrators take the videos with their mobile phones in a very tricky and dangerous way.  All the pictures are simple documentations of the everyday.  I do not discuss about the differences between "documenting", "documentation" and "documentary" in my works, but I like to use the  term documentation for this way of film making.

Bellow you can see one of the series I made as an exercise at school that became a platform for my further videos:

My world

was a series of a bunch of videos I made with my handy light camera.  At that time I used to paint and I had my brush and paint beside a window and my phone in my pocket.  What I thought I can make by combining them was to cover the scenery behind the paint.  What I thought I do with my paint as a painter was to hide the beauty of the real life with my brutal painting method.
